Margot LaFortune Flionis, LICSW

Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

Welcome! I 'm Margot LaFortune Flionis, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over 20 years of experience helping youth, teens, and adults navigate life's most challenging chapters. My approach is warm, direct, and grounded in the belief that every person carries the capacity for meaningful change.

I specialize in anxiety, grief and loss, school and social challenges, and major life transitions — those moments when the path forward feels unclear or overwhelming. Whether you are carrying the weight of everyday stress, grieving a loss, or facing a significant crossroads, I am here to help you find your footing.

I believe deeply in the resilience and inner strength that each person carries — often without realizing it. My role is to help you reconnect with that strength, build on it, and use it as a foundation for lasting change.

My work is holistic — attending to the emotional, spiritual, and social well-being of each person. I weave together Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, emerging grief theories, attachment and exposure work, direct skill building and traditional talk therapy to tailor each treatment plan to the individual — because no two people, and no two journeys, are the same.

I completed my clinical training at Boston College and have worked in a range of settings, including community mental health, schools, Hospice, and private practice. I offer sessions both in-person in Sudbury, MA and via Telehealth across Massachusetts.
